Health and Safety Workers Should Be Celebrated

Health and safety in the workplace is paramount because it will ensure employees are protected from any potential hazards and harm. All workers are entitled to work in environments where risks to their health and safety are properly controlled. The primary responsibility for this is down to employers and their representatives, which is why we should celebrate health and safety workers.

Health and safety workers have a number of duties in order to make sure their workplace complies with the Health and Safety Act 1974. It is their responsibility to ensure all workers comply with safety legislation and all safety policies and practices are adhered to. Health and safety workers continuously advise and monitor health and safety progress, investigate any accidents with written reports and ensure that legal requirements of health and safety are being carried out.

Under the Health and Safety Signs and Signals Regulations 1996, employers and duty holders have responsibility for the control of the workplace, sites and premises. Safety signs are required where a significant risk to an employee remains. It’s important to ensure the correct signage is displayed, whether it be warning, mandatory or fire safety signs.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your business is, there will always be the possibility of an accident or damage to someone’s health. You can reduce this possibility by ensuring a system is in place to manage health & safety and have the ability to identify hazards, assess risk and carry out risk assessments on site.

Health and safety workers should be celebrated because of the hard work they continue to do into the workplace to ensure everyone stays safe and free of any harm.

We have a wide range of health and safety signs to fit into any workplace, site or environment. Our safety signs and notices cover a wide variety of signage, including prohibition signs, warning signs, fire safety signs and emergency exit signs.
