These ‘caution speed’ multi message signs are the ideal way to communicate a pedestrian risk to drivers. The multi message sign features three parts; firstly, a yellow hazard bar informing the drivers that pedestrians may be present is at the upper most part of the sign. It features the yellow hazard triangle with an exclamation point. Secondly, a red warning states a speed limit. Thirdly, at the bottom rung, a dark blue mandatory sign communicates that drivers must ‘sound your horn’.
